Installation Guide: MTB Style Shifter
Let's install an MTB Style set of shifting buttons on a bike. It's not hard, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind during the installation process.
The SW-M8050-R (right) and SW-M8050-L shifters are about 30g heavier than their XTR counterparts - they weigh about 93g each. Most setups nowadays will only utilise the right shifter - 1x setups have grown in popularity rendering the left shifter obsolete.
You can change the position of the shift buttons, and set them up just the way you like. See the linked installation guide for more information on that.
Note that this is a shifter only - MTB brake levers have to be bought separately.
