New R9300-series Dura-Ace wheels

Updated August 27, 2026 by BetterShifting Terry

Shimano has just announced their latest set of wheels, the R9300 Dura-Ace wheelsets.

They feature an internal rim width of 23mm, cup-and-cone system with replaceable bearings, external rim widths engineered to balance aerodynamics and crosswind stability, and Shimano's own carbon spokes.

Here are the relevant bits from the press release (media.shimano.com):

Carbon Spokes: Purpose-Built for Race Demands
A defining innovation of the WH-R9370 wheelsets is Shimano’s newly engineered carbon spokes, developed in two profiles to match specific performance objectives:
Super Aero: 5.2 mm × 0.8 mm
Aero: 4.0 mm × 1.1 mm

The wheels come in a lightweight 36mm version (1170g per set), 50mm (1302g), 60mm (1389g), and 99mm dedicated TT front-wheel (792g). There's also a 987g rear disc wheel, meant to be paired with the C99 front wheel.

These wheelsets should be available from September 2026 onwards.
