Di2 Cheat Sheets - what do those LEDs mean?
Ever wonder what those LEDs mean on your 12-speed rear derailleur, or 11-speed junction box? And what the button does exactly? Find out more here.

BL-RS717-L
This is a brake lever only. It is meant to be used with 1x12 GRX Di2.
It has all the reach and free stroke adjustments the regular ST-RX715, but without the Di2 buttons.
Why? Well... on a 1x12 bike you probably don't need buttons on the left shifter, so, Shimano made a cheaper non-di2 version. And since ST-RX715 is only available as a right-hand-side shifters, well... it's your only choice, really.
It's either that, or use two ST-RX825 shifters on your 1x12 gravel bike.
The BL-RS717-L is the regular version of this shifter, but there's also a Shimano branded version available. The difference? It has the '-LS' suffix, and the letters 'Shimano' printed on it. See the image gallery further down this page for an image of both brake levers.
