Disc Brake Dual Control Lever (Wireless)

Dura-Ace ST-R9271

This ST-R9271 is an updated version of the 12-speed ST-R9270. These shifters are very similar, with just two small differences:

The new shifters support wireless-pairing-without-the-app
..and they can only be used wirelessly. They do not support wired shifting

Just like the previous DURA-ACE dual control levers, these have 'hidden' buttons on top of the shifter hoods. You can set these up any way you like and I wrote an article on just that: setting up the Di2 shifter hood buttons.

Wireless only

12-speed disc brake shift levers have one SD300 port, which is used for diagnostics/update only, and one satellite shifter (SW-RS801-T / SW-RS801-S / SW-RS801-E) port.

Updating wireless levers

While you can customise these levers and change button assignments using the mobile app, you cannot easily update them. The levers need to be wired to the rest of the system in order to enable updating via the mobile app.
