Known bug: E-Tube Cyclist does not start
Update: The iOS app was "fixed" December 11, 2022.
However, as a result of this fix, some users experience corrupt or even missing images. Shimano says a fix for this new issue is coming spring 2023.
If you've updated E-Tube Cyclist on your mobile phone recently, it is possible you've had problems getting the app to start.
Shimano just sent out this email, confirming that this is a problem on their end. At this time, there is no fix or workaround for iOS users. An updated version of the app should be released soon though.
If you're on Android and you're having problems, make sure USB debugging is disabled. Recent security tweaks cause the app to fail when debugging is enabled.

It has been confirmed that E-TUBE PROJECT Cyclist for iOS Ver.5.1.2 released on November 9, 2022 does not launch on startup in some cases.
An updated version is scheduled to be released in the near future. Please download the updated version from the App Store to update the application. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Also, starting with this version, the application for Android is designed not to start when the USB debugging function is enabled on the Android > OS for improved security.
