Cheat Sheet: 11-speed Bluetooth Connection Mode

Updated November 7, 2022 by BetterShifting Terry

11-speed Di2 bikes do not have BluetoothLE and ANT functionality out of the box. An additional module, the D-fly or display is required.

If you have one of those modules, you can connect your bike to most bike computers by adding the bike as a sensor, and display the selected gears and battery info on screen.

To change settings or update firmware using the Android/iOS mobile app E-Tube Cyclist, you need to enter Bluetooth Connection mode.

You do so by pressing the main junction button (next to the charge port) for 0.5 - 2 seconds.

The LEDs will flash green and red while the bike is in Bluetooth connection mode (for about 30 seconds).
